Case Studies

C&T 2019, for the first time, will host two separate Case Studies tracks to target different audiences:

  • The Research Track targets, among others, (applied) researchers, practitioners, and professionals working in the field of communities and technologies. Case Studies accepted to the Research Track result in a publication as part of the conference proceedings.
  • Important Dates March 1, 2019 (23:59 CET) - Research Track submissions due
    April 9, 2019 - Research Track notifications
    April 26, 2019 (23:59 CET) - Camera-ready due
    Submission Details Online Submission: via EasyChair
    Submission Template: ACM SigConf proceedings template (part of the ACM Master Template)
    Submission Format: 4-6 pages (excluding references and appendices), as PDF
    Supplementary Materials: pictures/visuals (beyond those included in the text), videos, documents/reports, websites, etc.
    Selection Process peer-reviewed
  • The Community Track targets a wide variety of non-academic actors (individuals and organizations) working with technologies to effect community relations. Case Studies accepted to the Community Track can choose from a variety of formats to create adequate visibility of their cases to delegates at the conference.
  • Important Dates April 26, 2019 (23:59 CET) - Community Track submissions due
    May 3, 2019 - Community Track notifications

    Submission Information: general information, submitting organization/individual, specific case, presentation format(s)
    Supplementary Materials: videos, slide decks, pictures/visuals, documents/reports, websites, etc.
    Presentation Formats: poster, interactive demo, short video, short presentation, and/or small exhibition booth
    Selection Process curated

Fees and travel

Accepted submissions to Research as well as Community Track will be able to send one delegate paying only the early-bird fee if registering within five business days after notifications of acceptance. Beyond that and for additional delegates the full conference fee will be required after the early-bird registration deadline. If you need additional conference fee or travel budget assistance, please contact us and we will try our best to assist you. There may be limited funds available to attract submissions from organizations from developing countries, if you are interested to explore this option please also contact us at the email provided below.
